I mentioned on Saturday that Brad Wanamaker's NBDL team, the Austin Toros (San Antonio Spurs affiliate) had reached the league's CBI-like best-of-three championship series. The series went three games and the Toros came out on top.

The great thing is that the former Pitt guard had a lot to do with the team winning the title.

Wanamaker scored 18 points in the team's 122-110 victory and he played the most minutes (39:30) of anyone else on the court. But as he'd done all season for the Toros, he played a typical Wanamaker game, contributing in other ways. He added six rebounds and his ten made free throws, five assists, and three steals all led the team.

Getting a shot with the Spurs is still no guarantee. As you can see from the final score, there's lots of offense to go around. Wanamaker's 18 points, while impressive, were still only good for fourth on the team. If he ever gets to the NBA, it will be because of his all-around game - not his scoring ability.

Here's the full box score from the game.
