Brandon Lindsey not being drafted was a surprise to many, including myself. In the weeks leading up to the draft, he seemed like a slam dunk to be taken. That, of course, didn't happen, but Lindsey still found himself signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent.

Word is that he's doing pretty well and impressing some folks along the way.

By all indications, Lindsey has looked pretty solid:

"Brandon (Lindsey) is doing fine," defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said. "We think he has some pass-rushing skills. He’ll get a chance to show what he can do once we get to camp."

He's only participated in OTAs and a mini-camp so far, so it's a little early. Linebackers coach Keith Butler kind of alluded to that:

"He’s done well," Butler said. "Of course, he hasn’t hit anybody yet. We’ll see how he does in training camp."

So far, he's been running with the second team, but there's a bit of a qualifier in that starter James Harrison is out. That's moved some players up a bit and Lindsey might be the beneficiary of that.

Realistically, you've probably either got to be so overwhelmed by being in the pros, injured, or out of shape to get poor reviews in these types of activities. But it's good news that he's doing well.
