We're having a really busy day here in Pittsburgh. First, Tra'von Chapman commits to Pitt. The basketball conference slate was released earlier this afternoon. And now, Pitt got its 12th commit of the 2013 class when Fairborn (OH) offensive tackle Carson Baker committed to the Panthers.
Unrated by most sites, Baker lists offers from Buffalo and Toledo as well. And while he may not have the offer list of Dorian Johnson, he does have size. 6'5", 315 pounds. Despite no rating, I'm going to trust the staff on this one. They did churn out NFL linemen at Wisconsin for the past few years after all.
This commit helps fit a huge area of need for Pitt in the offensive line. Last season was not a good one for the line and due to the past coaching changes, Pitt has lost several potential offensive line targets. This is a step in the right direction.
Here are some highlights of Pitt's newest commit courtesy of Scouting Ohio. Welcome to Pitt, Carson Baker!
