Hail To Links! The "Hashtags And Hypocrites And Uniforms, Oh My" Edition

The Internet is an amazing place. Where else can you dig up comments from a former Chancellor that now make him look like a hypocrite? It also allows you to find pictures of some newfangled uniforms for the upcoming season, and to ask questions of a coach thousands of miles away. Check out these links and more...after the jump.

"Simply put, success in LSU football is essential for the success of Louisiana State University." This was said by former LSU Chancellor Mark Emmert. You may better know him as the NCAA president scolding Penn State for their culture.

Speaking of success at LSU... Les Miles and the Tigers have offered a scholarship to a 14 year old 8th grader.

Fun with uniforms. It's long been my opinion that the Pro-Combat uniforms put out by Nike have been hideous. Their only saving grace has been the gloves...and Adidas took that to the next level for Michigan (Hail to the Victors) and Notre Dame (Play Like A Champion Today).

Fun with hashtags. Pitt fans were given high fives from fans all around the country for the takeover of the #AskASU hashtag. It was so spectacular, that it continues to get national coverage from Deadspin and other news outlets.

Extending a contract without ever coaching a game. The NCAA sanctions against Penn State triggered a four-year contract extension for Bill O'Brien, through 2020. I guess it's fair, considering he has to deal with this.
