Should have gotten to this earlier this week. Two football players from the same school getting inducted into a Pro Football Hall of Fame is too notable to gloss over. So the fact that it's now happened twice in two years is pretty unbelievable.

Rickey Jackson and Russ Grimm got the ball rolling in 2010 and this year, it's Curtis Martin and Chris Doleman.

The two will enter the Hall of Fame today, giving Pitt their seventh and eighth players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That ranks them third behind only USC and Notre Dame. With Jackson and Grimm in 2010, Pitt's now had four players get into the Hall in the last three seasons and that's really vaulted them up the all-time charts.

Doleman recently talked plenty about the Penn State issue and even took time out to take a little bit of a shot at them:

"I’m not a Penn State guy," Doleman said. "I’m not a Joe Paterno guy. In fact, I chose the University of Temple before (Pittsburgh offered)."

In all seriousness, Pitt's had an unbelievable track record of not only getting players to the NFL, but churning out Hall of Famers and All-Pros. That's part of the reason that they've had some recruiting success even without ideal on-field results.
