According to his twitter account, local Pine-Richland quarterback Ben DiNucci flipped to Pitt from Penn after this official visit this weekend.
After much consideration... I have decommitted from UPENN and have officially committed to PITT!! #PittIsIt #H2P pic.twitter.com/Ky0g8aYdmW

After Alex Hornibrook decommitted from the Panthers and Trey Anderson decided to transfer, Pitt definitely needed to add a QB in the 2015 recruiting class. New Pitt offensive coordinator Jim Chaney visited DiNucci last week, and after seeing him throw decided to extend an offer and invitation to visit this past weekend.
Reports claim Chaney was surprised DiNucci had not gotten attention from other major programs, and feel he was a diamond in the rough. He certainly stuffed the stat sheet this year...
Ben DiNucci, @BUBS_Humchi threw for 4269 yards and 46 TDs this season in PA AAAA w/ 383 against a loaded St. Joe's Prep in the title game.

And here are some highlights of his play...
Obviously the concern here is DiNucci had no other major offers, but everyone whose opinion I trust seemed to love the kid after seeing him live. Pitt may still take another QB in this class, but either way a blue chip QB should definitely be the goal for the 2016. Jim Chaney certainly has the résumé to attract a good quarterback, but let's hope he's better at using it than Paul Chryst was.
Hail To Pitt!
