Gluttons for punishment? Nah, not us.
Pitt's next basketball game comes tonight and it's an interesting one. The Panthers are in the midst of a pretty horrible slide right now and things don't get easier playing a ranked Louisville team, even if it's at home.
Perhaps trying to spark a sense of desperation from his team, head coach Kevin Stallings let loose with some interesting comments yesterday about there not being enough leadership and about players not buying in to what he's trying to do. Fire under their butts? Maybe. Will it work? Your guess is as good as mine.
FWIW, Pitt did string together a strong 20 minutes against Louisville on the road a little while back. Problem is that it came in the second half after the Cardinals raced out to a 21-point lead.
Pitt is again without Ryan Luther off the bench and if the game against North Carolina State was any indication, the game plan will be to run the starters until they simply can't go anymore.
Game time is at 7:00 p.m. and you can watch it on ESPNU. Join us here to comment live during the game.
