Pitt’s 2018 recruiting class isn’t completely done yet as the Panthers still have time add a few more pieces. But the majority of the class signed with the team this week.
As has been typical of Pat Narduzzi classes, Pitt got some late bonuses with a few last-minute additions. The Panthers first added JUCO quarterback Ricky Town to provide some depth. Late on the early signing day, they added talented playmaker Shocky Jacques-Louis and later also added a surprise wide receiver transfer, Taysir Mack from Indiana.
But Pitt also lost out on some late targets and didn’t land any four-star recruits, as designated by Rivals. I was pleased with many of the offers that Pitt recruits had received but in the ‘rankings war’, there’s no doubt that the Panthers aren’t going to have a class that is highly-ranked, for whatever that means. In addition, rival Penn State continues to roll on and landed a good bit of the local talent. Given everything, how do you feel about Pitt’s recruiting class as it currently stands?
