The coronavirus / Covid-19 virus is causing a major disruption to the sports world. And closer to home, it’s also affecting the University of Pittsburgh as a whole.

Recently, Pitt provided a formal response and some next steps in terms of what the university is doing to combat spread of the virus. The biggest piece of news is that all in-person classes are being moved online or to ‘alternative learning options.’ To prepare for the transition, all classes are being postponed until March 23. Other restrictions, including study abroad programs, gatherings of more than 25 people, and university travel, are also being put into place.

For the time being, all campus facilities are remaining open.
