Last month, Pitt announced the cancellation of its May and June sports camps. The cancellations, of course, were due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Remaining camps for July and August have now also been canceled, per a release from the school.

Pitt Athletics will continue to monitor the guidelines set forth by the University of Pittsburgh, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) regarding events and gatherings. The safety of our campers, student-athletes and coaches remains our highest priority and will dictate future scheduling decisions.

The cancellations include all camps, including residential camps. The camps are typically led by coaches with participation from student athletes. Here’s more details on the camps available for each sport/activity.

Here’s the official release.
