Pitt added a 15th recruit to its 2021 class on Friday afternoon, as Stephon Hall out of Central Valley High School in Monaca announced his commitment to the program. Hall is the third in-state recruit in Pitt's 2021 class and just its second from the Pittsburgh area.

The 6’2”, 165-pound defensive back holds a two-star rating from Rivals and a three-star rating from 247Sports, which considers him the No. 100 safety in the 2021 class and the No. 32 recruit in Pennsylvania. During his recruitment, Hall drew 18 offers, including five from Power Five programs, three from service academies, and eight from MAC schools.
Last season at Central Valley, Hall came up with three interceptions, 21 pass breakups, and 108 total tackles, including five tackles for losses. He also made an impact by causing a fumble, recovering a fumble and hurrying opposing quarterbacks twice on a strong Warriors team that went 14-2 and made the PIAA 3A state championship.
The addition of Hall comes as Pitt is reloading its secondary in anticipation of the departures of current starters Paris Ford, Damar Hamlin, Damarri Mathis and Jason Pinnock. So far, Hall is the third defensive back Pitt has added to its 2021 class, with the others being Noah Biglow and Javon McIntyre. The team also added Rashad Battle, Buddy Mack, Jahvante Royal and Hunter Sellers to its 2020 class.
