2011 NFL Combine Results: Pitt Football Player Workouts A Mixed Bag
Six Pitt players are at the NFL Combine doing their best to impress scouts and teams.
Guess what - a few guys are doing just that.
I don't give many plugs on this site, but FF Toolbox is a great place for combine stats and is where these numbers were available.
Jon Baldwin may have a bad attitude, but he's having a pretty good combine so far. Out of 46 wide receivers, Baldwin ranked 13th with a 4.50 40-yard dash time. He also ranked 1st in vertical leap (42") and tied for fourth in the broad jump (10'9"). Baldwin did finish near the bottom of a few workouts, but at 6'4", I've got to think that scouts are salivating over that vertical leap and Baldwin's speed.
Dion Lewis also had a solid workout. Despite the poor measurement at the beginning of the combine, Lewis has rebounded to put up some solid numbers. Out of 32 running backs, Lewis placed 13th in 40-yard dash time (4.57 seconds) and 17th in vertical jump.
Jason Pinkston hasn't had a very good combine, finishing near the bottom of most of his workouts so far, and Henry Hynoski has one of the slowest 40 times I've seen for running backs and fullbacks at 5.06.
I haven't been able to find anything on Jabaal Sheard in my limited searches and Romeus, of course, is not participating.

Hynoski did not seem to be blazing a very fast time...
but, he is a fullback and did appear to pull something just before the end of his 40.

That's because Hynoski injured himself on his first 40 run
He pulled up with a hamstring injury.
