Pitt Football: Ejuan Price Named Among Top Big East True Freshmen

Earlier this week, I speculated that new Pitt signee, Ejuan Price, would get some playing time immediately. ESPN.com's Andrea Adelson also calls him an impact player in her look at Big East true freshmen that could see playing time.

Adelson thinks Price could step in right away and get onto the field in 2011:

Ejuan Price, Pittsburgh. The Panthers landed a pretty explosive player in Price, who came to Pittsburgh after being granted his release from Ohio State. Price seems to be the perfect fit for the 3-4, and will no doubt compete for playing time at the "Panther linebacker" spot as a hybrid linebacker/defensive end.

I think the only question will be just how much Price gets on the field this season. Rated as highly as he was, I expect head coach Todd Graham to find room for him in his new defense. Pitt does have several linebackers coming back this season, but I'd be surprised if Price took a redshirt.
