Pitt takes on Fresno State tonight and while the Panthers' non-conference games this early in the year generally don't provide a good measuring stick, I think this one's a bit different as I mentioned in my Q&A; with Mountain West Connection this week.
Don't get me wrong - I still expect Pitt to come out on top and win by double digits. But a closer-than expected result wouldn't surprise me that much as Pitt is a young team and playing a lot of new guys.
I'll be interested to see what kind of time backup Derrick Randall gets with Talib Zanna expected back in the starting lineup after a one-game suspension and to see what kind of game he's able to put together.
Game time is 7:00 p.m. and if you're in the Burgh, you can catch the game on Root Sports tonight. Leave your pregame thoughts below then stop back at 7:00 p.m. to join us and comment live during the game.
