Steven Adams hilarious exit interview with Oklahoma City media

Steven Adams joked around with the Oklahoma City media following the end of the Thunder season.

USA TODAY Sports

Former Pitt and current Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams gave a hilarious exit interview with the media on June 2 after the May 31 game six loss to the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals to end the Thunder season.

Adams has had a fairly successful rookie campaign resulting in him being selected to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He has developed a reputation as someone who not only gets along with the media but enjoys joking around with them. His June 2 interview was no different.

The transcript of the interview is available online, but here are some of the more memorable segments, which featured the former Pitt center talking about his flying experience. Oh yeah, and tables - he likes tables:

"What surprised me? Probably the biggest thing is the private planes. Wow, that thing’s amazing. Got all the food on there, a bunch of drinks. I don’t know, It’s just amazing, never seen nothing like it. Tables, tables on planes, that’s amazing."

...

"Yeah, (going) incognito (around New Zealand), no chance. I actually bought a facemask. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, I tweeted it once. It’s like a Balaclava. So I got that, I might wear that around."

Of course it is hard to read about Adams NBA request without imaging how successful Pitt could have been if he stayed with the program for his sophomore campaign. Still, good to see his sense of humor is carrying over into the pros.
