Paul Chryst: Former Head Coach at Penn State. Apparently.

There are mistakes and then there are mistakes.

This, boys and girls, is a mistake:

This wouldn't be so bad if it was a promotional flyer hanging up in the weight room or something. Problem is that it went to a recruit.

Oh, come on.

Now, I don't know who's responsible here, folks. I'll say this, though - something like a recruiting letter has to get screened by more than just an intern, right? I'm not saying that Paul Chryst would have looked at it himself (though, that certainly would have been nice), but someone other than a current major in sports management has to be checking this out. Someone fairly high up the food chain in the athletics department has to be at least giving these things a once-over. An Associate AD, a recruiting coordinator, someone.

And as if the Penn State thing weren't bad enough, what's with the typos? Wisconsin complied a 70-22 record? Top in the Big 10? Now, we've got our share of typos here. This is a blog, after all, and without an independent editor, proofreading isn't perfect on our end. But then again, we're not sending out recruiting letters to land players for a major-conference football program, either.

Clean it up, Wisky.
