(Don't) Bet the Farm: Pitt vs. Virginia Tech Predictions

New, 10 comments

Will Pitt start their conference record off with a win on the road?

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Two weeks ago, I predicted the Pitt-Iowa game would be a close one. I was right on that count, but unfortunately wrong on which team I picked. That game got us some separation in the rankings, but the picks are a little more one sided this week.

Pitt isn't guaranteed to pull of an upset, but the pieces are in place for one with Virginia Tech missing some key players such as Michael Brewer and Kendall Fuller. And considering the Panthers won last year's game and have  been competitive against Virginia Tech, there's some room for optimism here.

Anson - Pitt (3-0)

Aron - Pitt (3-0)

Chris - Pitt (3-0)

Stephen - Pitt (3-0)

JD - Pitt (2-1)

Jim - Virginia Tech  (2-1)

Now that you've got our picks, how do you see this one shaping up? Is Pitt good enough to pull off the upset or will beating the Hokies be an uphill climb?
