Pitt vs. Virginia Tech: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Today, Pitt squares off against the Virginia Tech Hokies in an important ACC Coastal Division game. The Panthers will have their work cut out for them in facing a capable passing game and defense on the road.

Virginia Tech isn't playing great and is fresh off of a road loss to East Carolina, but they still pose a big threat to Pitt. The Panthers will need to control the ball and not allow Virginia Tech to gain a big advantage in the turnover department - something they've been doing this season.

Nathan Peterman gets the start and will be tested in another difficult road environment as the Panthers try to bounce back from the loss at Iowa. The good news for the Panthers is that they've had a little extra time to prepare and recover from that defeat.
