It's game day and for the Panthers, a big test looms in Notre Dame.
It's not Pitt's biggest game of the season, really. The North Carolina contest last week was even bigger than this one since it was an in-conference matchup. But the game against the Irish has the perception of being the biggest. A top 15 Irish team at home should mean a decent crowd on Saturday.
The Panthers are fresh off a disappointing loss to North Carolina last weekend and while a win against Notre Dame wouldn't really help them in their quest to win the ACC, it would help get the ship righted again and give the team its biggest regular season win total since the Dave Wannstedt days as Todd Graham and Paul Chryst couldn't get over the 6-6 hump.
