Pitt vs. Youngstown State: Open Gamethread

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

It's gameday.

Today, the Pat Narduzzi era finally gets underway in terms of an on-field product as Pitt takes on Youngstown State at Heinz Field.

As I covered in the game preview on Monday, this is hardly a guarantee for the Panthers. Pitt will be without two starters in Tyler Boyd and Rori Blair, who are both suspended for the contest for their off-field issues. In addition, the team will be up against a strong running game and one of the best defensive lines in the FCS. Then, of course, there are the injury we concerns we heard about this week.

At home, with an All-American candidate at running back in James Conner, you have to like Pitt's chances. But then again, I think most of us liked their chances back in 2012, too.

I'll be down at Heinz Field today taking in the game, so I won't be too active in the game thread - particularly when my phone battery dies, which it inevitably will. But if you're not heading down to the game, follow along and comment in the live thread below.
