On Tuesday, the Panthers released alternate throwback football uniforms that will be worn for the Homecoming game against Georgia Tech this season. While we don't know how often those will be brought back, head coach Pat Narduzzi says it could be more than a one-time thing. When asked by the media on Tuesday if the uniforms were going to be one and done, he seemed to leave the door open to their return.
"I think it’s going to be something that our seniors, our eagles, will kind of decide," Narduzzi said. "'Hey, what do we want to do?’ If they like the look, I’m open to anything. I just want to coach football."
That will please a lot of fans. And given that the player reactions in this surprise reveal video to them being introduced were so positive, it shouldn't surprise anyone if seniors opt to wear them more. It's also great that Narduzzi is leaving this up to his players to some degree.
I don't think that means they'll wear them more than the Homecoming game this season, but for fans wanting to see them in future years, there could be a good chance that happens.
