Pitt faces Syracuse today in its ninth conference matchup. The Panthers remain winless in he ACC and are 8-13 overall. Syracuse (14-6 / 3-4) are looking to get to .500 in ACC play and defeat Pitt for the second time this season.
I wrote earlier that, even if Pitt isn't expected to win here, I'm sort of looking forward to how the team responds after that heartbreaking loss against NC State as they blew a late lead. Hopefully the Panthers come out as hot as they did in that one when they opened up a double-digit advantage and played one of their best halves of the year.
