Meineke Car Care Bowl To Get New Sponsor

PrintThe Meineke Car Care Bowl will soon be no more. Get ready for a new sponsor and a new name.
The Car Care Bowl will now named the Belk Bowl, as it's being sponsored by Belk - a Charlotte-based department store.
These types of name changes are usually pretty meaningless, but one good thing will come out of it for the Big East - there's a $500,000 additional payout to each team. Payments will go up from $1.3 Million to $1.8 Million.
The name change will take effect in next year's bowl season.
