Pitt Football: Recruiting Starting To Heat Up

Well, they're not four- or five-star recruits, but they are recruits. And like I mentioned earlier, with the short amount of time he had, any recruiting class that Todd Graham could put together would be fine with me.

After the Corey Davis commit yesterday, Pitt has apparently picked up another pair of recruits.

Pitt picked up another running back in Issac Bennett, a two-star recruit according to Scout (thanks to Bryan at Pitt Script). Bennett sounds as if he thinks Pitt is building something good:

"I had a great trip," Bennett said. "I want to be a part of something new there."

Bennett wasn't heavily looked at and his only other offers were reportedly Tulsa and Louisiana-Monroe. But Graham's system requires a lot of running backs, so it's hard to get too down on this pickup.

Graham also got another pickup in Ohio wide receiver Darius Patton (thanks to reader oaklandzoo12). Patton may have been a Bearcat commit, but his high school coach seemed to refute that. At any rate, Patton is a three-star receiver as rated by both Rivals and Scout.

Patton reportedly had offers or interest from several schools including Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and several others.

I still want to see how this class shapes out and I think elite talent will be hard to come by in the days leading up to signing day. But Graham is doing a good job squeezing in as many visits as he can.
