This lockout thing doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon. For most Pittsburgh fans, that probably means little, but there are a contingent of us that actually follow pro basketball.
So I wasn't all that surprised when I read DeJuan Blair may be headed to Russia during the NBA lockout.
Earlier this week, Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski said he was in serious discussions to play in Russia with a potential deal coming soon. Blair's agent Happy Walters says the deal is so close that he has a contract offer already. He also offered an explanation for going:
Back to basketball, briefly, things could move quickly ... Walters says he could be gone next week. A sports website Sportando says it has learned the team Blair may be going to - Krasnye Krylya Samara."He's a young guy who wants to play," Walters said. "It's a way for him to stay in great shape, and at the same time get better. You're not going to play 30 minutes a night and not get better."
