Big East Power Rankings: Panthers Movin' On Up

Pitt is finally making some noise in the SB Nation Big East basketball power rankings. After winning four straight, voters are starting to take notice ... either that, or the majority of the league is just dropping the ball as well.

See the Cardiac Hill ballot and where the Panthers came out this week after the jump.

Pitt finished in tenth overall. Cardiac Hill's ballot actually got a slight nod for Homer of the Week as I slotted Pitt eighth. But that was justified somewhat as several other voters had them in eighth as well.

Be sure to head over to The UConn Blog and see all of the ballots and the cumulative rankings. Personally, I'm a little surprised West Virginia is getting so much love, but we'll get to that later. Below is the Cardiac Hill ballot:

1. Syracuse
2. Georgetown
3. Marquette
4. Louisville
5. Notre Dame
6. Cincinnati
7. UConn
8. Pittsburgh
9. West Virginia
10. South Florida
11. Villanova
12. Seton Hall
13. St. John's
14. Rutgers
15. Providence
16. DePaul
