Well, that was short-lived.
Brandon Lindsey wasn't selected in the recent NFL Draft, but caught on pretty quickly with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That dream appears over for now as Lindsey was recently waived by the team.
Defensive coordinator Dick Lebeau recently said he was doing fine and would get a chance to show what he could do in camp, but that doesn't look like it will be happening now. Lindsey was waived late this past week and will no presumably try to hook on with another team.Behind the Steel Curtain says the Steelers picking up other linebackers made Lindsey expendable.
While him not making team isn't a huge shock, I am definitely surprised he didn't get a longer look. But the Steelers evaluate prospects for a living, so I'll take their word that he wasn't a fit for them.
Don't expect this to be the last we hear of him, though. I can't imagine a player with his pass-rushing skills is only going to get one look. Still a decent chance he ends up in someone's camp this fall.
