Bovada released early odds for the 2013 college football season. It's no surprise that Alabama is the favorite to repeat right now, but where did Pitt come in on the list?
Well, The Panthers are at 150:1 according to the site. That currently slots them in a tie for 37th overall with BYU and West Virginia. That would put them near the bottom of the 'Others receiving votes' category int he Top 25.
As far as the ACC goes, Pitt is pretty far down the totem pole. Florida State is the conference favorite with the best chance to win a title at 14:1. Clemson is 22:1, Miami is 25:1, Virginia Tech is 66:1, and North Carolina is 75:1. Other ACC schools mentioned, but below Pitt, are Georgia Tech (200:1) and Boston College (300:1).
Let's be honest, though - the Panthers have more of a chance of going to a fourth straight BBVA Compass Bowl than they do in competing for a national championship.
