Pitt vs. Ole Miss (and Rutgers): BBVA Compass Bowl Game Open Gamethread

Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE

Because Pitt has two games today, we've got another one of our famed dual gamethreads. Things will tip off at 11:00 a.m. with the basketball game against Rutgers and then continue with the BBVA Compass Bowl game against Ole Miss at 1:00 p.m.

Don't forget about our contests surrounding the football game today to give away two Pitt 2013 calendars. Here is the link to the original post with the official rules - make sure to check them out. To recap:

Contest #1 (Guess the score): Guess the final score of the Pitt and Ole Miss game before the kickoff. Once the game begins, no more entries will be allowed. Whoever comes closest to Pitt's final number of points wins. Tiebreaker is whoever is closest to the total number of points scored by Ole Miss. If there's still a tie, whoever guessed the closest number first will win. You can only enter this contest once.

Contest #2 (Best Comment): Whoever has the best (most informative or funniest) comment during the Compass Bowl game will win. All of our site's writers will get a vote and if there's a tie, I'll (Anson) make the final call. This contest begins as soon as the game does and ends at the conclusion of it. You can enter this contest as many times as you want. The more you comment, the better your chance to win.

So get your score predictions into the comments area below before the football game.
