Pitt track and field star has had some kind of season in leading the program in their first ACC season. Earlier this year, he was named the conference's Male Performer of the Week ... three consecutive times in a row.
Spratling is back at it and this week, was given the distinction again along with Florida State's Dentarius Locke.
Spratling won the award with his strong performance in the 400m at the Virginia Challenge last week, breaking his previous school record with a time of 45.22. He not only took first place in the event, but that time also gave him the all-time record at the venue, Lannigan Field.
The sprinter has been all over the record books this season and is a big reason the outdoor team has been ranked in the Top 25 rankings. Currently, the Panthers sit at No. 24 in the USTFCCCA Poll.
