Oregon-Ohio State College Football National Championship: Open Gamethread

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

I'm not sure how much I'll be paying attention to tonight's national championship game. I've got to be honest here, my interest level just isn't all that high. But I realize it's a big deal and with Ohio State in it, at least a few Pitt fans will probably be watching in hopes of seeing them lose.

Florida State and Jameis Winston would have been the biggest draw of the four teams, I think. Chance to repeat, controversial player - the Seminoles would have made more people care about this game IMO.

I know there's been interest in setting these up to give people a place to comment. So, here's an open gamethread in case you'll be tuning in. Feel free to comment during the game.

As far as a pick, I'm probably taking the Ducks here. So, if you've been reading our "Don't bet the Farm" series, you know that obviously means the smart money will be on Ohio State. Oregon is favored by about six or seven points last I checked.

Game time is at 8:30 p.m. EST and will be on ESPN.
