Pitt to hold Pro Day on Wednesday

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd was the only Panther invited to the NFL Combine a few weeks ago, but others will get their shot at performing to impress NFL scouts in advance of the Draft.

Pitt will hold its Pro Day today and those participating include Boyd, Nic Grigsby, J.P. Holtz, Khaynin Mosley-Smith, David Murphy, Lafayette Pitts, Darryl Render, and Artie Rowell. Activities will include the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, pro shuttle, three-cone drill, 60-yard shuttle, bench press, and some individual 'skill work' according to the Pitt media release.

One minor note to keep in mind is that Boyd did not participate in the 60-yard shuttle at the Combine. It will be interesting to see if he decides to take a shot at it on Wednesday.

While the day will be important for others who didn't get to perform at the Combine, Boyd also has a chance to improve on some of the times of those drills - many of which he didn't post impressive times at the Combine.

The event will kick off at 10:30 a.m. this morning.
