Cardiac Hill Poll: Pitt-Penn State line

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

A while back, Pitt opened up as a nine-point favorite against Penn State for the teams' upcoming football game this season. While I personally thought that was a big number, I'm curious to hear what others think.

The pros are that Pitt has the game at home and that Penn State isn't expected to field a great team. The flipside is that the Panthers lost Tyler Boyd, may not have running back James Conner, has some shaky positions on defense, and (with the loss of Chad Voytik, who transferred out of the program this offseason) has razor-thin depth at quarterback behind starter Nathan Peterman. Pitt has talent to be sure, but there are also question marks from their vantage point.

Are you on board with a nine-point (or larger) number there or do you think it should have been smaller? Weigh in by voting in the poll below and using the comments section.
