Pico over at the East Coast Bias, a great Big East/St. John's basketball site, has again graciously put together a roundtable featuring Big East bloggers to discuss the upcoming season. As usual, the feature will run in several pieces and I'll try to remember to get them all up here as they come out.

For starters, we've got predicted order of finish and players of the year:

Star-divide

My predicted order of finish was:

1. Pitt
2. Villanova
3. Georgetown
4. Syracuse
5. UCONN
6. WVU
7. Louisville
8. Seton Hall
9. St. John's
10. Notre Dame
11. Marquette
12. Cincinnati
13. South Florida
14. Rutgers
15. Providence
16. DePaul

Player of the Year: Tim Abromaitis (Notre Dame) - Laugh at my Abromaitis pick all you want, but he averaged 16 ppg last season. In the five games Luke Harangody was out, he pushed that to 20 ppg. With another year of experience and the main target in Notre Dame's offense, he could average over 20 this season.

Freshman of the Year: Fab Melo (Syracuse)

Be sure to head over to the East Coast Bias to see the combined results of all participating bloggers.
