Congrats to former Pitt assistant Tom Herrion

Now the head coach at Marshall, Herrion did what he did many times here at Pitt and beat WVU in their "rivalry" game. Congrats on the big win for Coach Herrion and we here at Pitt hope you continue with the great work at Marshall. Perhaps Marshall vs. Pitt will be an upcoming basketball game? Although I doubt Jamie would want to play his former assistant (one of the reasons why Howland won't play Pitt I believe).

At the same time, if you're WVU, really now? I mean, I understand that Herrion has a good understanding of the Mountaineer's offensive and defensive strategies since he was at Pitt and he is a pretty good coach. But Marshall? Even when you're in a down year, WVU still has more talent. However, as a Pitt fan, I can't not laugh at this because Marshall is expected to be in the lower half of Conference USA and WVU was picked 5th or 6th I believe in the BIG EAST. But for today only:

WE ARE...MARSHALL!

just calling it like i see it

wvu fans rank right up there with jets fans and eagles fans as some of the worst fanbases in sports today (penn st fans also deserve an honorable mention here and a gold medal for the biggest sore losers). fans, not all of course but enough to generalize, of these teams constantly cross the line between avidly rooting for their team and being out and out criminal in their actions. i’m all for cheering your team on but these guys take the fun out of the game by taking it too far. i’ve seen it with my own eyes, live in person time after time… and if you want further proof of how bad the wvu fanbase sucks look no further than your screen-name, that pretty much says it all.
