Pitt Football: Anthony Gonzalez Had Company In Marijuana Arrest

When Pitt quarterback Anthony Gonzalez was arrested for marijuana possession recently, there was a mention of him being with two other men. To be honest, the news about Gonzalez had me reeling enough and I never bothered to try to figure out who else was with him.

But it later came out that another football player was with him.

Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician, SB Nation's Syracuse blog, has word that one of their players was involved, too:

In Nick's recent profile on Syracuse WR Jarrod West, he said, "expect flashes here and there in 2011 but 2012 is when Jerrod West becomes a Cuse-hold name, write it down." Now, it doesn't sound like West is going to have a choice.

As you may have heard, Pitt QB Anthony Gonzalez was arrested Friday in Bethlehem, PA on a charge of marijuana possession. Gonzalez has also been suspended indefinitely by the Panthers.  But what you may not have heard is that two other people got arrested that night, as well, and one of them was our own Jarrod, a Bethlehem native.

Going back to our own player, I've not heard anything else about Gonzalez. Part of that is due to the holiday weekend and part of it because of the offseason, I'm sure. We'll see if anything comes out this week about Graham's intentions.
