It wasn't the most spectacular of showings, but Pitt recruit Steven Adams seems to have held his own in the Jordan Brand Classic. The game was on ESPN, but if you missed it, you can check the box score after the jump.

Adams finished the game with only four points, but he took only two shots. It would have been nice to see him score more, but Adams was playing in a game that wasn't exactly big man friendly. Look no further than the fact that Nerlens Noel, widely regarded as the nation's top recruit, had only four points himself. Adams actually outrebounded Noel and Adams' nine rebounds led his team despite the fact that he played the fewest minutes (17) of anyone on his team.

He also added a block, steal, and assist.

From the box scores of Adams' games that I've caught, I'm convinced he'll be at the very least an excellent rebounder for Pitt. How much he gets involved offensively will depend on Jamie Dixon's ability to convince his teammates to get the ball inside to him. I'm willing to bet that many of his points will come in transition since he runs the floor well and off of offensive rebounds. Will be interesting to see how involved he gets offensively on a team that will have three pretty good scoring talents in Tray Woodall, J.J. Moore, and Lamar Patterson (and Trey Zeigler if he gets his waiver to play this year), but either way, Adams will be a good contributor on the boards.

Here's the full box score from the game.
