J.J. Moore will be out for three months after fracturing his right 5th metatarsal bone in a pick-up game. He will undergo surgery on it to repair it soon. Fans may remember that recent Pitt players Levance Fields and Jermaine Dixon also had similar injuries in past seasons.
Thankfully, this happened during the early portion of the off-season. But because of the length of time it will take J.J. to heal, he will likely miss most, if not all of Greentree later this summer. Still, I'd rather have him fracture his foot now than in 6 months from now so he'll be ready to go come November for Pitt's first game.
