Phil Steele's preseason all-conference teams are surfacing and Pitt placed 15 players on his four Big East squads.

The Panthers had five players on the first team including Ray Graham, Devin Street, Chris Jacobson, Aaron Donald and Jarred Holley. Second teamers included Mike Shanahan and Ryan Turnley. Hubie Graham, Matt Rotheram, Todd Thomas, K'Waun Williams, Kevin Harper and Ronald Jones made the third team. Finally, Tino Sunseri and Khaynin Mosley-Smith made the fourth team.

Linebacker Dan Mason is obviously someone that could end up on one of these squads after the season, but after being out for so long, it's understandable that he didn't make the list. A couple of guys I could have seen a bit higher rated would be linebacker Todd Thomas and maybe tight end Hubie Graham.

Then there's Jacobson, who is a first-teamer, according to Steele ... despite not even technically being named as a starter (something I've railed a bit against).

Here's the full list of Steele's Big East teams. Pitt's 15 players was good for third behind UConn and Rutgers, who each had 19. Their five first-team selections were tied for second.
