Pitt made it official the other day by announcing that Marlon "Smoke" Williamson will be hired to take the position left vacant by Barry "Slice" Rohrssen. Let's tackle the important part of this move first: Do you like the nickname better? Is "Smoke" better than "Slice"? All kidding aside, we really do want to know what you think of this move.
Back in April, we asked what you thought about who Pitt should hire and I believe this comes in as the choice you picked as your third option (out of four). He wasn't a former Pitt assistant, wasn't the hottest coach out there, and Pitt did not throw a bag of money at him. What Jamie Dixon did get is a young coach with strong AAU ties, good basketball knowledge, and who is hungry to get going.
After reading all the articles and doing your research about this hire, what do you think? Do you like this move? Do you think this makes Pitt a better team than they were before Smoke was hired? Let us know below which answer best describes your feelings.
