Cardiac Hill Podcast Episode 12: Talking Pitt Basketball with Brian Batko

Could it get any earlier? Maybe. Do we care? Not at all.

Cam Wright recently told me he's a beast at FIFA, and that his go-to team is Man-U.

So yeah, I guess that's kinda where we stand right now regarding the Pitt basketball season. Although these four recent demolition derbies in the Bahamas spice up the conversation a tad. After all, the Panthers outscored their foreign opponents, 432-229. Moral of the story: If you're searching for cupcakes to pregame the quality cupcakes, look no further than Nassau.

Nevertheless, we have a significant amount of calendar before the season tips off, but that's exactly why I brought on Brian Batko of Panther Lair, a guy that knows exactly what this team is made of. No Lamar? No Talib? No Slice? No familiar ACC logo? No hope? I asked him about it all.

The beauty of college basketball is that with every loss comes a new gain. Enter the likes of Assistant Coach Marlon Williamson, Sheldon Jeter, Tyrone Haughton, Ryan Luther, and Cam Johnson, along with a healthy Durand Johnson and a seniorized Cam Wright. With that and some other efficient pieces, Jamie Dixon has a puzzle to be reckoned with.

As the Bahamian motto states: "Forward, Upward, Onward, Together."

It's time to start learning about your Panthers as they pounce into their second season in the ACC.
