Well, this season is going well so far. Last week, all but one of us here at Cardiac Hill had our predictions confirmed as Blewitt's kick went through the uprights. Anson, Aron, and Stephen are having a stellar season so far as they have correctly predicted all of Pitt's games. Chris and I are tied at 5-1 to match Pitt after he picked Georgia Tech last week, and Jim is bringing up the rear with a still respectable 4-2 in picks.
This week, the staff is unanimous. This is the litmus test of Pitt games. The average Pitt fan from this year says Pitt should win this game fairly comfortably. The average Pitt fan from any year prior is terrified of this game as it is before the two likely biggest games on Pitt's schedule in North Carolina and Notre Dame
A lot of Pitt fans are worried about Cuse because despite their record, they've played decently well against some opponents like LSU, and this game is also on the road. This should sound familiar as Pitt went into Georgia Tech on the road with them being a 2-4 team but having played a very tough schedule. Pitt did have trouble with the Georgia Tech offense initially, but I think that was less Pitt "overlooking" the Yellow Jackets and more that the triple option offense is hard to defend.
I will say though that Syracuse freshman QB Eric Dungey has looked great since he has taken over. This should be a good test for Pitt's secondary with his throwing ability. Pitt has to shut him down if they want to keep their dreams of a Coastal (chaos) title alive.
I'll take Pitt 27-10. You may notice I keep using that score. Well, Pitt keeps winning every time I pick it so I'm gonna use that score till they lose. I'm a little superstitious.
Anson - Pitt (6-0)
Aron - Pitt (6-0)
Stephen - Pitt (6-0)
Chris - Pitt (5-1)
JD - Pitt (5-1)
Jim - Pitt (4-2)
