Pitt vs. Purdue: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Panthers look to continue their hot start with a win over No. 11 Purdue tonight at the Pete. The game is part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

For Pitt, it won't be an easy task. The Boilermakers are one of the nation's top teams and off to a 5-0 start themselves.

You always give the Panthers a fighting chance against anyone at home and Purdue is no exception here. But their size will again present a unique challenge just as Gonzaga did. The Boilermakers feature two seven-footers - Isaac Haas and A.J. Hammons. Both will give the Panthers all they can handle down low. As I wrote earlier, while Pitt is not in the rankings just yet, a win against Purdue probably gets them in there.
