Despite there only being one remaining conference game, there's little consensus about where most of the bowl-eligible ACC teams are winding up. We know Clemson gets a playoff berth with a win; Notre Dame and Florida State are probably headed to New Year's Six bowls; and for some reason, everyone's pretty sure that UNC has a date with Oklahoma State in Orlando. But the nine projections I looked at have Pitt in four different bowls (TaxSlayer, Music City, Sun, and Pinstripe) with opponents ranging from 5-7 Minnesota to 9-3 Georgia.
The ACC avoids the confusion of five-win teams going bowling, as there are no five win teams. These are the final bowl projections, unless I can get away with writing a post labelled "BOWL PROJECTIONS POST-ANNOUNCEMENT" and just have the bowl schedule.
---
Notre Dame is eligible for the ACC's bowl tie-ins and is thus included here. I've included bowl payouts (source) as a metric of the prestige of the bowl, to remind us all of the inextricable link between commerce and nominally "amateur" athletics, and because the gift suites are probably better at the nicer bowls. Bowl payouts are not included for the playoff games and selection committee bowls because they are still to be determined.
