Pitt vs. Duquesne: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt has an important game tonight against Duquesne in the annual City Game matchup.

I'll give my regular plug for this game. If you get a chance to go, go. The atmosphere is a nice one when you see the fans for both games show up. I love seeing the older fans on both sides go as well as the student sections. It's just a great time. Now, as I say that, I unfortunately won't be able to get to the game. But again, if you have the opportunity (and particularly if you've never been to one before), it's virtually a must in my book.

As I wrote earlier in the preview, the Panthers will face a Duquesne team that looks to be on the rise. A 6-1 start as well as a blowout against major-conference foe Penn State is the fuel driving this train. Pitt, however, remains the more talented team and after a tough loss to Purdue in the B1G-ACC Challenge, the Panthers really don't want to be in the position of dropping a second straight game.

Game time at 7:00 p.m. and you can see it on the CBS Sports Network. Join us here to comment live during the game.
