Pitt Basketball Recruiting: 5 Star 2016 Recruit Mustapha Heron Decommits

Mustapha Heron wants to explore other options.

Pitt Basketball has not had a great couple of weeks.

Heron told other outlets that Pitt is still "a top school" for him, but this is pretty bad for Pitt. Heron not only is highly ranked, but has been playing better and better lately. It's also not surprising former Pitt assistant "Slice" is at the forefront of luring him away from Pitt. Pitt simply has to make an impact in its next two recruiting classes to stay competitive in the ACC long term.
