ZOMG, Bring Back The Script !?!?!
Lost Letterman has a good article up about Pitt and the script lettering. The post has a nice, brief history on the logos and the push by some to bring it back.
Personally, I'm fine with the current block style lettering and if Pederson thinks the university is able to market it well, I'm all for it. As long as this isn't brought back as the main logo on the helmet, we're cool.
The one thing I wouldn't mind seeing, though, is the script brought back once in a while - sort of like what Notre Dame does with the green jerseys. I'm not of the opinion that a jersey can make you play any better, but it could create a level of excitement for specific games with the fanbase.

Personally I've always liked the torched panther head logo.
Probably because that was the primary logo when I first started following Pitt in the late 90’s. But I hated it when Long “modernized” it in 2007 and turned it into a beaver/dog head.

Lost in all of this is the...
Panther tooth logo that used to be on the neckline of the jerseys. I really liked this as a secondary logo with the torch-cut panther

Helmet sitcker
Love this as a helmet sticker.
If I had my way, I’d love for the Pitt baseball logo to be the primary logo with the full block Pitt as the secondary logo.

Took me a minute
to figure it out.
By the way, I miss Mondesi’s House. The only all-inclusive Pittsburgh sports site I would check daily.

That was a great Pittsburgh sports blog. Sad to see it go.
Wasn’t he also doing a blog for 93.7? He was making a name for himself, not sure why he stopped blogging.

Yeah, Don had a 93.7 blog and was frequently on the air right after the Fan went live. The final post on his blog says that he was stepping away to assist a family member battling an illness.
