Pitt goes for its third straight win today against Georgia Tech on the road. The Panthers enter the game as slight underdogs despite a 4-1 record. The Yellow Jackets are reeling having dropped four straight games, but still have an offense capable of scoring points. For that reason alone they're a dangerous team.
The key, as it is anytime the Panthers will face Georgia Tech (at least while Paul Johnson is around) is containing the option offense. The Pitt defense has played admirably these past few weeks but will be facing an offense rarely seen.
I'll be interested to see how Georgia Tech reacts in this one. With three ACC losses already, they will have a hard time winning the Division, as many predicted they would do before the season began. Pitt needs to take the fight out of them by scoring some early points if at all possible.
Several of our writers and some readers will be gathering at Cupka's Cafe 2 on the south side. If you're local to Pittsburgh, head on down and join us. Otherwise, comment live here during the game.
