SB Nation's Underdog Dynasty football blog just posted the following quote from Pitt Athletic Director, Scott Barnes:
"We will not continue to play home-and-home with Group of Five schools," Barnes said. "We will play them at our place as part of our scheduling plan. We will not play home-and-home."
The context of the quote can be found over at CBS Pittsburgh. Based on the Underdog Dynasty comments, they don't seem to be taking the statement too kindly.
As a Georgia Southern (and Pitt) alumnus living in Georgia, I was a little perturbed knowing I won't be seeing them play in Statesboro...not that that was really ever in the works.
What do you y'all think about the decision—either in terms of perception or impact on strength of schedule?
