When the Military Bowl announcement dropped over the weekend, the immediate thought was anger. If I had tried to throw up a poll on Sunday, my guess is that it would have been incredibly one-sided.
Is that still the case?
Yes, it's unfortunate that Pitt lost out on the chance to play in one of the ACC's Tier One bowl games. The Panthers are better teams than several of those selected ahead of them, such as Louisville, Duke, and North Carolina State. After all, Pitt finished with a better record than each of them and also defeated Louisville and Duke.
But in the end, the Panthers will face a ranked opponent in a bowl game that is relatively close to home. There's something to be said for that, right? Or nah?
Tell me what you think in the poll below. Is there reason to be excited at all for this game or are you completely tuning it out?
